 PRIVACY POLICY FOR BILLSPLIT PRO

Effective date: September 29, 2026


BillSplit Pro is designed as a local-first bill splitting utility. Bill titles, participant names, amounts, notes, settlement states, app preferences and calculation history are stored locally on the user's device. The app does not require an account and does not operate a developer-controlled server for this information.


Advertising and consent

BillSplit Pro uses Google Mobile Ads SDK to display app-open, banner, native, interstitial and rewarded advertisements. Google and its partners may process identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, device information, ad interaction data and diagnostics to provide, measure and protect advertising. Where required, the Google User Messaging Platform consent flow is shown before requesting ads.


Notifications

If notification permission is granted, the app schedules a local daily check for unsettled bills. Notification content is generated on the device. Users can disable notifications at any time in Android settings.


Sharing

When a user chooses Share, the app sends a plain-text bill summary to an app selected by the user. BillSplit Pro does not control how the selected third-party app handles that information.


Backups

Android device backup or device-transfer services may back up app preferences and saved bills according to the user's system and Google account settings. Users can control backup settings through Android.


Data retention and deletion

Saved bills remain on the device until the user deletes them, clears the app's storage or uninstalls the app. The developer cannot remotely retrieve or delete locally stored bill data.


Children

BillSplit Pro is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13.


Security

Reasonable platform safeguards are used, but no device or transmission method is completely secure. Avoid entering sensitive banking credentials, card numbers or identity documents in bill titles or notes.


Changes

This policy may be updated when app features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised for material changes.
